Just got this email yesterday, hoping someone can leave a comment for Jason about the Gold paint code for LE Pinstripes?
———————————–
Gday Chris.
My name is Jason. I’m the owner of STICKTHIS Automotive Decals and Stripes.
A while ago we got hold of a NOS set of pinstripe paint masks. We have now finished reproducing them.
See here
I’m wondering if you are able to help me with the paint code for the gold? I’m sure many will ask me this question. Is it the same colour as used on the rims as I do know the code for them.
Also I was wondering if it would be ok with you to post something up on your website about these stripes?
Cheers
Jason
This is a brand new 8 track system for the LE. The one in my car doesn’t work any more and this would make an excellent replacement! It’s currently on ebay with a Buy It Now price of $1,500.
These don’t come up very often, that’s for sure!
Hi Chris
My name is Joe Silvestri and I am based in Adelaide, I am hoping that you may be able to help me. I owned an LE in 1980 and traded it in on a new Brock commodore in 1983 at John H Ellers, Brighton SA, I would like to track this LE and see if it may be for sale and was hoping this website could help, when I traded the LE in it only had 68,000km on the clock and in mint condition, I was not the first owner but it was near new when I purchased it, this car was fitted with a lot of options from new, and had distinctive gold flutes which I have never seen on any other LE, I still have some photos of the LE and the original rego no was SSC-382 and SA of course and the original owner was Rotolo Produce in the books, even if current owner does not want to sell, I can give some history of that LE, it would be great to locate the LE.
Thankyou.
Regards,
JOE SILVESTRI

Shannons recently held an auction of classic and collectable cars, as well as bikes and number plates etc… Of course there was also an Limited Edition Monaro up for grabs which sold under the hammer for $35,000. Note that the car was had travelled 373,000 Kms was unrestored and needed a re-build (as evidenced by the condition report Shannons put together). However, the paint and interior were in pretty god nick considering its age.
So it looks like prices are beginning to improve (along with the Australian economy!)
