Using Video to advertise your car – It’s the future.

Monday, November 5th, 2007

I was poking around Australian Muscle Car Sales and noticed they are now showing Videos to help sell (or advertise) some of the cars for sale there.

Interestingly, there was a lovely HQ GTS 4 door, (which recently sold for $49,000) that has quite a tasteful video of the car.

I reckon if I ever get around to sell mine, I’ll do the same.

The trick seems to be to use a tripod and make the video ‘stable’ with slow pan shots to give it that professional look. The other important feature of the video is the over-dub sound track with a running commentry about the car.

I guess the question is, do you get a professional to film and produce it for you?

Or do it yourself and save a few bucks?

If it was me, I get a professional to do it!

Anyway, it’s worth checking out.

See it here.

Monaro LE ‘sold’ on Australian Muscle Car Sales.

Monday, November 5th, 2007

Over at Australian Muscle Car sales, an un restored LE has recently sold for $45,000. It’s all there, (except perhaps for the wheel trims). It’s got the original 8 track and AM radio etc.

Not a bad price.

Shame about the photo quality…

Mmmm, nice Le Monaro on ebay has disappeared!

It was there.

Now it’s gone.

Mmmmm.

Anyway, while I’ve got you… Can someone tell me what the address is to send letters to Holden so you can get your car authenticated?

What kind of info do you need to supply? Chassis, engine No, body No?

Also, I need a new under bonnet ‘heat protector pad thing’! – does rare spares stock those?

Over to you experts!

Cheers

Chris
